Who We Are
The Cleaning of Altar Linens involves washing and ironing the purificators that are used for wiping the sacred cup during communion, and the towels that are used on the altar by the Priests and the Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion for washing their hands.
The linens are taken home once a week after the Sunday Masses, and then returned to the sacristy before Mass the following week.

Become an Altar Server
The servers enhance the quality of celebration for the whole gathered assembly by assisting the priests and deacons, by taking part in processions holding the cross and candles, holding the Roman Missal (big red book) for the priest, helping receive the gifts of bread, wine and water, washing the hands of the priest, ringing the bells, generally assisting as necessary and and by ensuring that all items required for the celebration of the mass are available at the appropriate moments.
Boys and girls who have received their First Communion can minister as altar servers. The ministry is open to adults as well.
Periodic training is required and provided.

We are a group of volunteers that decorate the church to reflect the liturgical seasons and feast days of the Church with the hope to create an atmosphere conducive to prayer, worship and praise.

Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion are lay men and women commissioned by the Church to assist the priests and deacons in distributing the Holy Body and Precious Blood of Jesus Christ during Mass.

Who We Are
Lectors play a critical role in the celebration of the Mass by proclaiming (not reading or reciting) the Word of God. Since they proclaim not just any word, but the Word of God, it is essential that they develop the spirituality and skills required to communicate God's message competently.In becoming a Lector, you are accepting the responsibility to do your best, to practice, to make frequent self-evaluations, to deepen your understanding of God's Word, to deepen your prayer life and to continually look for ways to improve your ability to proclaim. Through your own sacrifice of time, effort, preparation and prayer, God's Word continues to become alive again and again. Who We Are
The Liturgy Committee plans and coordinates the parish liturgical celebrations according to the nature of the liturgy, the liturgical norms, the scriptures of each particular Sunday, the liturgical seasons, the various ministries involved and the particular parish circumstances.

We are always looking for new members – either as musicians, cantors or choir members - to join us.

What We Do
We visit, offer spiritual and emotional support and bring Holy Communion to parishioners who are ill, invalid, elderly or are otherwise unable to attend mass. This ministry is an important aspect of the sacramental life of our parish. This is especially true in light of the fact that there is an unusually large number of elderly members in the parish – some homebound, others in rest homes or hospitals. This ministry requires many dedicated volunteers who are committed to the service of the Church and who are willing to administer the rite of ordinary "communion visits" to shut-ins.
In addition to providing Communion when requested, it is the responsibility of these dedicated ministers to inform the parish priests concerning the other sacramental needs of the sick, e.g., Anointing, Reconciliation, etc.

Being an Usher is a great way to welcome Christ in fellow parishioners and guests coming for mass. Responsibilities include seating the congregation, taking and securing the collection, facilitating the presentation of the gifts, handing out bulletin, knowing the flow of the Mass and identifying and solving situations as they occur. The most important responsibility, however, is to create an atmosphere of welcome and warmth, smiling at people as they arrive for mass and wishing them God's blessings as they leave.
