Creating a plan ahead of time can help make the best use of the season. One resource you can add to your parish, small group, family, or personal tool kit is this great series – Atomic Habits of Prayer by Fr. Brendan McGuire. The new book “Science, Reason, and Faith” by Fr. Robert Spitzer, SJ, explores in depth the Bible and the intersection of three realms that the secular world tells us are separate and incompatible. Fr. Spitzer draws the modern reader's attention to the many seeming conflicts between science, reason, and Catholic teaching. By tackling these difficult questions, he shows that it is precisely through the integration of science, reason, and faith that we can truly discover ourselves, our world, and our God. You can purchase it at www.osvcatholicbookstore.com/

We express our closeness with our brothers and sisters affected by those affected by Hurricane Otis in Mexico. We echo Archbishop Leopoldo González González, of the Archdiocese of Acapulco, Mexico in calling on the faithful to help the victims: “each of us is God’s provident hands for our brothers and sisters in need. Maybe what we can do to reach out seems little to us, but let’s not stop doing it, it’s very valuable”.
The recovery efforts have begun in Acapulco, and Catholic Relief Services (“CRS”) has been in contact with community and government partners who are leading these recovery efforts.
