Baptisms
We are blessed to accompany you as you prepare for baptism, and are excited to welcome you or your loved one into the family of God. Our parish is here to support you in this joyful and meaningful sacrament.
The first of the sacraments of initiation, baptism is our entrance into the Church. Through Baptism, we are cleansed of Original Sin and receive sanctifying grace, the life of God within our souls. That grace prepares us for the reception of the other sacraments and helps us to live our lives as Christians. Baptism is the necessary precondition both for living the Christian life and for entering Heaven. Baptism is the initiation of the child (infant to 7 years old) into our community and the practice of our faith. Thus, the Sacrament is celebrated after the parents, who are the primary teachers of faith to their child, have reflected on their commitment to live the faith and are doing so and have participated in a preparation process.
To begin the process for Adults, please contact our parish office, where one of our staff members will assist you in explaining the preparation steps and scheduling the baptism. We are also here to guide you in understanding the significance of this sacrament and offer prayers as you prepare to live or raise your child in the Catholic faith. May this special day bring abundant blessings to your family and deepen your commitment to nurturing your faith in Christ.
